Visit 1: Zenpukuji River Intake Facility, Third Regional Construction Office, Tokyo Metropolitan Government

伊藤, a Tokyo Metropolitan Government official, used videos and other materials to explain past rainwater damage in Tokyo and the measures taken against it, and used a model of the facility to explain how the intake facility is structured and how it functions. We also toured the operator room, which serves as the command base in emergencies.
We then entered the rainwater storage tunnel, located about 50 m underground and the heart of this facility, and experienced firsthand its immense scale and usefulness.

Visit 2: Teijin Limited, Future Studio

帝人グループが開発・製造している最先端技術による商品を、4つの商品群に分けて展示されており、それぞれの商品の特長の説明を受ける。
「モビリティ」「情報・エレクトロニクス」「環境・エネルギー」「ヘルスケア」 特に自分の職業分類に関する商品に対しては、質問されていた会員もおり、関心の深さが感じられた。

Fellowship gathering

After the tour, we moved to a nearby restaurant, “Petit Tonneau Toranomon,” for a fellowship gathering.
Over wine, we shared our impressions of the tour and looked back on a fruitful day.
