I am 村山, and I had the honor of serving as leader of Fireside Meeting Group 5.
The meeting began promptly at 18:00 with a toast led by Member 本多.
After some friendly conversation, all 12 participants shared their thoughts on the theme, “How members should communicate in Rotary.”

• The importance of valuing one's own 【time】.
• The need to get to know fellow members and to create opportunities to do so.
• Creating an environment where new members can connect with all kinds of members at club meetings.
• Communication that grows from shared interests.
Topics were discussed from every angle, and the conversation was lively throughout.

As President 伊豆 remarked, “This fireside meeting itself is an important form of communication,” we were able to hear about sides of one another and stories we had never known, making it a gathering that has us looking forward to communicating even more in the future.
It was my first Fireside Meeting, and it was a very enjoyable and meaningful time.
