Report on “Support for Sales of Natural Honey Produced in Shinjuku”

SocialService
Chair 石川佳照

Alongside the Shinjuku City Half Marathon, we set up the Rotary Club of Tokyo Shintoshin banner at a sales booth in a tent at the Japan National Stadium from 9:30, and supported the sale of “Natural Honey Made in Shinjuku,” held from 10:00 to 15:30.
This natural honey was produced by people with disabilities who keep bees at the Shinjuku City Workers and Employment Support Center, using “seed bees” donated by the Rotary Club of Tokyo Shintoshin in March last year. Members of our club also took part in the harvest.
The products sold this time are made from that honey, and the proceeds will help promote the social participation of people with disabilities. Thanks to the members who continued to help with sales during and after the Shinjuku Half Marathon, the members who came to help in the afternoon (Member 北岡 and Member 山内), members' families, and the cooperation of all our members, we sold a total of 246 items (total sales of 188,900 yen).
Thank you for your cooperation.
