“Rotary Fellowship During the COVID-19 Pandemic”

東京でコロナ感染者数が初めて５００人を超えた日の開催でしたが、店内はほぼ満席状態でした。
その中で、ワインとイタリアンを楽しみながら和気あいあいとしたひと時を過ごしました。
 
（内容）

• Gathering together (face to face) is the essence of Rotary activities, and the current situation is extremely troubling.
• If living with COVID continues for some time, we should discuss again and set rules for holding club meetings under these conditions (in person / remote / hybrid), including rules for how meetings are run.
• For hybrid meetings combining in-person and remote participation, thorough advance preparation is needed, including checking the hotel’s network environment. (As in the case of 佐藤’s recent talk.)
• New members find it hard to fit in through club meetings alone. We would like to plan small gatherings outside club meetings (such as Fireside Meetings) and various events that can be held even during the pandemic.
• Member 児玉 noted that precisely because of this situation, we need to reflect deeply on the origins of Rotary, and introduced the book “The Heart and Origins of Rotary” (by 廣畑富雄).
• The scope of disclosure of members’ personal information, an issue also raised by other groups, was discussed as well.
