Disaster Preparedness Education and Music Gathering

Youth Service Committee Chair 佐原 且朗

On Tuesday, June 6, we held the “Disaster Prevention Education and Music Gathering” at Shinjuku City Waseda Elementary School with the cooperation of the Ushigome Fire Station and the Tokyo Fire Department Band.
Fourteen members of our club took part and experienced the disaster prevention education the children receive: fire extinguishing training, a smoke experience, and rope work. After a wonderful performance by the Tokyo Fire Department Band, representative children presented a bouquet, and President 山口 gave a greeting and presented commemorative gifts to the students of Waseda Elementary School, bringing this year's “Disaster Prevention Education and Music Gathering” to a successful close.
