4. Theme: “My Vocational Service”
5. Summary of each attendee's remarks
➢ I actively hire university dropouts, giving motivated young people a second chance, and I tell them, “If you don't give up and work hard, your dreams will come true!”
➢ I believe Vocational Service is not about business matching; it is about taking your work seriously and building relationships of trust, and as a result being able to contribute to society.
➢ I believe that by taking pride in my work and fulfilling it to the end, I can contribute to society as a result.
➢ I think projects that let children, who hold the future, experience various professions are very worthwhile. I realized that there is no single “right” answer for Vocational Service, and that it takes many forms.
➢ Through workplace visits, I explain what my work involves to many people, and I have set up a consultation service; if anything comes up, my Rotary friends support me. I believe I contribute to society in this way.
➢ Through my infrastructure work, I address environmental issues such as global warming. At work, I always keep Rotary's Four-Way Test in mind. I used to pursue only my company's profits, but since joining Rotary, my thinking has shifted to “How can I give back to society?”
I am grateful to Rotary.
